Welcome Bri Clark

This morning we are delighted to welcome author Bri Clark to Veronica's Tales.

First, let's learn a little about Bri herself . . .
Bri Clark is a real example of redemption and renewal.  Growing penniless in the South, she learned street smarts while caring for her brother in a broken home.  Bri watched her mother work several jobs to care for their small family.  Once her brother could fend for himself, she moved on to a series of bad choices including leaving school and living on her own.   Rebelliousness was a strong understatement to describe those formative years.
As a teenager, her wake up call came from a fight with brass knuckles and a judge who gave her a choice of shaping up or spending time in jail.  Bri took that opportunity and found a way to moved up from the streets―and ended up co-owning an extremely successful construction business.  She lived the high life until the real estate crash when she lost everything.  She moved west and found herself living with her husband and 4 kids in a 900 square foot apartment.
Bri now fills her time, writing, blogging, leading a group of frugal shoppers and sharing her southern culture.  Her unique background gives her writing a raw sensibility.  She understands what it takes to overcome life’s obstacles.   She often tells friends, “I can do poor.  I’m good at poor. It’s prosperity that I’m not used to.”  Bri and her husband Chris live in Boise.  Bri is known as the Belle of Boise for her true southern accent, bold demeanor and hospitable nature.
The best way to follow that up is with a bit about Bri's latest story The Familial Witch

Lucien Lemione the clan leader of the feared and revered Eternals is faced with the ultimate betrayal. His second in command for two centuries has not only created the most grievous of offenses but also commissioned the creation of liquid silver. When poisoned by this toxin, an immortal suffers a fate much worse than death, frozen in an internal prison. After being wounded when found spying, he hides deep within the eerie woods that encircle the Triad Mountains. Desperate and in pain, he prays to an offended mother goddess for help. Her answer: a woman, but not just any woman. A witch.

After losing her entire coven at the hands of the Eternals, Aisleen is the last of her kind. She retreats from the world to Trinity Forest where she is giving the opportunity of a lifetime, or perhaps a test of principles. It’s there she discovers the man she heals is the Eternal that wiped out her people. Although she is bound as a healer, she could be creative in her revenge. Aisleen knows who and what Lucien is…but does not speak of it. There can be no future with Lucien for she can only be with a mortal man. Even if she wanted to be with him, can she forgive the man that caused the genocide of her people?

Lucien must act quickly for the survival of his clan is at stake. However, Aisleen’s ethereal beauty and emerald eyes keep pushing those thoughts far from his mind. Determined to find out what secret she hides, he prolongs his time with her. When his people need him most what will he choose…duty, desire, or will he make his own fate?

You can choose love but you can’t choose destiny.

I know after reading the blurb I wanted to meet Lucien up close and personal, so take it away Lucien . . .

Where are you from? I am from a realm known as the Dream Realm.

What is Familial Witch about? It’s about my journey of trying to protect my people from the traitor Alistair and in the process I met Aisleen. She saved me.

What did you think the first time you saw Aisleen? That she looked like and angel on earth.

What was your second thought? If she was I did not want to go back to the Dream Realm.

Did you think it was love at first sight? Perhaps…

What do you like most about her? That she is so much more than what she seems.

How would you describe her? She is beautiful in a way that I have never known. The genuine kindness and love she has for all is something I can’t comprehend…but I’m trying.

How would she describe you? As a rake…moody. I don’t know. I don’t speak for her.

What is your biggest fear? That I won’t be able to be everything she needs and my people need at the same time.

How do you relax? I listen to Aisleen hum.

What is the best piece of advice you ever received? It was from Aisleen…She told me to quit looking for something that’s not meant to be found once. It’s has applied to several situations in my life since then.

Wow! A man who relaxes by listening to his woman hum.
Sounds like a keeper to me!

Thank you Maureen. If I was a fine wine I'd be well beyond my age. LOL I just take it and roll with it if you don't it will pull you under. I'm too stubborn to go down.

Thanks for the comment.

Okay, I'm totally hooked. I just went and bought my copy. No joke.

My hubby, son and I are currently sharing a room in my mother's house. We've gone from a six-figure salary to barely making it. (Don't worry, we have a book allowance. :) ) But, we still have each other. Nothing beats that. Good times come and go, but family is always around. :)

I totally agree. We just recently moved into a house after spending a year in that apartment. Blessings came from the sacrifice. I'm glad you have a budget. I'm excited to hear what you thing. No actually I'm terrified! LOL

Crud I'm late. Thank ya'll. I am very entertaining to say the least. All I need is a microphone a pitcher of water and I could say the alphabet and they would laugh here.
